Happy earth day! 🌎 As ranchers we work day in and day out to take care of earth and the animals on it, and in turn help feed the communities around us. During these strange times make sure your family is fed right by helping support farmers and ranchers by buying local!

Let it rain, let it pour! Rainfall is so important to ranchers. It makes the grass grow for our cattle to be fed, and it fills the dirt tanks we maintain with water for cattle and wild life to drink. When we don't have enough rain and our water supplies start to run dry, pastures don't get utilized evenly. That means the areas around water get over used, and areas not near water do not get used enough, so the cattle start to get poor ( skinny and unheathy) from not eating enough. In worst cases we have to set up temporary drinkers in designated areas and haul water to them manually. Not good times for ranchers or cattle! So next time you feel bummed it's raining again, just remember there's ranchers dancing with joy at the sight of rain clouds! ⛈
